Headed home

Here we are at the Barcelona airport starting our journey home. 2 hrs to Frankfurt, 9.5 hrs to Anchorage. And amazingly we get to Anchorage 1/2 hour before we leave Frankfurt. (on the clock anyway).

Adios a Vilarnau

After picking up a bottle of this vineyard's wine for our own private tasting on our deck back in Sitges with some cheese and grapes, we are on our way to Montserrat

Wine tasting at Vilarnau

With the second harvest about to take place in a few weeks, there were still a few grapes on the vines for us to pick and taste.

Nice day at the beach!

Nice day at the beach today... Us white Alaskans mostly hide out in the shade, but a few dips in the Mediterranean gave a refreshing reprieve to the heat from the Sitges sun.

Pronounced pie-aye-ya.  Kirt has perfected this traditional Spanish dish he learned over 20 years ago in Spain.

Long travel day

Today we had breakfast in Spain, lunch in London, and dinner in Seattle. Heathrow airport had a great, although expensive spicy noodle dish.

15th & 16th Century Tapestries

In the Museum de Santa Cruz there were some enormous ancient tapestries on display. How about having a room in your home big enough for this monster?

Through the streets of Toledo...

There are some extremely narrow streets in Toledo. We have been in some questionable situations with a car in Spain before, but you wouldn't want to get caught down this street with more than a pedal bike.

Cheers Mate!

Having a bit of fun after a delicious lunch in Toledo!

Good Eats

Tacos de solomillo al roquefort, translated to English is: steak bits and potatoes in a blue cheese cream sauce. This is probably one of the most delicious meals we've had in Spain.
