Grooms & Their Mothers
Juan and David with their mothers at the wedding dinner / dance. We had an absolute blast dancing with friends and family until the wee hours of the morning. --K&R
Photo Ops
After the ceremony, each took their turn getting their picture taken with David & Juan. Our turn fell in the "friends" category. --K&R
The Vows
Today our great friends David & Juan exchanged vows in a beautiful 16th century building. It was an amazing wedding filled with song and verse with not a dry eye in the place... --K&R
Wedding Day
All dressed up and ready to go to our friends' wedding here in Spain. From what we have heard of the plans, we are in for a long night of dancing! We will post more photos from the wedding and the party later... --K&R

David's Mother
We had an amazing interaction with David's family tonight. I met David's mother roughly 23 years ago, but tonight we reconnected and had a wonderful time. After having 15 children and a lifetime of experiences, this 80 year old woman can definitely tell stories! --K&R
Wedding Setup
We were standing in as models for the setup of where the wedding will take place tomorrow. All the details are coming together nicely... now as long as I (Kirt) don't forget the rings... everything should be just fine! :) More family & friends will be arriving tonight and tomorrow morning. --K&R

Fuenterrabia
We had a great day seeing the sights in Fuenterrabia today. After viewing the history in this important village in Northern Spain, we took a trip over to France for some shopping and a walk along the beach. --K&R

San Sebastián
After climbing to the top of this lookout via funicular over San Sebastián with our friends Juan & David, it was time to find some ensaladía rusa, albóndigas, and croquetas (our favorite Spanish tapas).

Pamplona Spain
Today we drove to Pamplona where the famous "Running of the Bulls" takes place. We explored the many narrow streets for hours, and eventually met up with a friend of Juan & David's named Cesar. He was very kind to us and took us to his house where we ate truffles and chatted for a bit. After a nice dinner at home, we're winding down before bed. --K&R

Guggenheim Bilbao
Turns out that starting in September, the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao is closed on Mondays. We will try to get back if there is time before the wedding on Saturday. Nevertheless the grounds of the museum were impressive including this very large puppy made of flowers. --K&R
Bilbao
Our friends David & Juan took us for a day trip to Bilbao today. This is a walk through a park on the way to see the Guggenheim Museum. It rained quite a bit today, but was beautiful! --K&R

Burgos
On the car ride from Madrid to San Sebastion, we stopped in the town of Burgos to have a bite to eat. The archway in front of the cathedral at the left of the photo is an old city entrance. --K&R

Cook Inlet Sunset
They say that the best camera is the one that you have with you. We took an impromptu walk down to the coast last night after eating dinner downtown and captured the end of a spectacular day. We were disappointed that we didn't have our Nikon D90 with us, but this iphone photo turned out pretty good. --Roger
